Dzmitry Asanau defeated Francesco Patera on Thursday night at Casino de Montréal, with the fight streamed live on ESPN+ and promoted by Camille Estephan’s Eye of the Tiger Management.

In the co-main event, Christopher ‘Machine Gun’ Guerrero scored a pair of knockdowns, defeating Oliver Quintana over ten rounds.

In the main event, WBC Continental Americas Lightweight champ Dzmitry Asanau, 10-0 (4), #135, of Molodechno, BELA, Dubai, UAE, defeated Francesco Patera, 30-6 (11), #134, of Gent, Limburg, BELG, over 10 rounds.

In the first three rounds, Patera kept coming forward as Asanau countered him, taking each round. In the fifth round, Asanau continued out-landing Patera, who had no answer for him. In the seventh round, Patera was chasing Asanau around the ring, taking the round. In the final seconds of the eighth round, Asanau had Patera in a corner, landing overhand rights to his head and taking the round.

In the ninth round, Patera got some punches in during the first half of the round until Asanau took over to the bell. In the tenth and final round, Patera took the first minute, knowing he needed a knockout. Midway, Asanau took over to the bell, having Patera against the ropes at the end.

Referee: Steve St-Germain.
Scores: 100-90 twice and 98-92.

WBA Super Welter champ Mary Spencer, 10-2 (6), #153.8, of Montreal, Quebec, CAN, defeated Ogleidis Suarez, 31-6-1 (15), #153, of Caracas, VZ, over 10×2 rounds.

In the first two rounds, Spencer outworked Suarez. At the end of the third round, Spencer landed a pair of left uppercuts to the body. In the fourth round, due to a clash of heads, blood came from the nose of Spencer halfway through the round.

In the seventh round, Suarez became the aggressor. In the ninth round, Spencer went all out trying to stop Suarez. In the final twenty seconds of the tenth and final round, Spencer rocked Suarez with a right on the chin.

Scores: 99-91, 100-90 twice.

In the co-main event, Christopher ‘Machine Gun’ Guerrero, 14-0 (8), #146.5, of Puerto Vallarta, Montreal, Quebec, CAN, defeated Oliver Quintana, 22-4 (15), #145.4, of Mexicali, Baja Ca, MEX, over 10 rounds for the vacant WBC Continental Americas Welter title.

In the first round, Quintana out-landed Guerrero. In the second and third rounds, Guerrero came back, landing mostly to the body of Quintana. In the final seconds of the fourth round, Guerrero rocked Quintana with a right on the chin.

In the final minute of the fifth round, Guerrero landed a left hook to the body, dropping Quintana for an 8-count from Referee Alain Vellenue. In the sixth round, Guerrero drew blood from the nose of Quintana halfway through the round.

In the seventh round, Quintana came back well, controlling the fight until the final seconds, when Guerrero landed a left to the body, scoring a knockdown for an 8-count from Referee Vellenue. In the final minute of the eighth round, Quintana landed a left to the body, hurting Guerrero.

In the ninth round, Guerrero landed a low blow in the final minute, giving Quintana a breather. Quintana came back throwing a flurry of punches at the bell. In the final minute of the tenth and final round, Guerrero missed a right but followed with a left hook to the body, dropping Quintana for an 8-count from Referee Vellenue. Quintana managed to get up and make it to the final bell. Afterwards, Guerrero was congratulated by his friend, super welter champ Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford.

Scores: 99-88, 98-89 twice.

Super Light Jhon ‘El Tigre’ Orobio, 13-0 (11), #138.5, of COL, Montreal, Quebec, CAN, defeated southpaw Sebastian Aguirre, 19-7 (12), #139.3, of Comodoro Rivadavia, ARG, over 8 rounds.

In the first two rounds, Orobio backed Aguirre up, landing hard rights to the body. In the third round, Referee Yvon Goulet warned Orobio for hitting behind the head. He dealt out plenty of punishment to the body of Aguirre, who turned southpaw while against the ropes.

In the fifth round, Orobio continued going to the body of Aguirre, who managed to get through another round. In the seventh round, some swelling started under the left eye of Aguirre, who has only been stopped once.

In the final minute of the eighth and final round, Orobio had Aguirre out on his feet, landing punch after punch, though slowing down while Aguirre held on to the bell.

Scores: 80-71 by all judges.

Middleweight Alexandre ‘King Kong’ Gaumont, 13-0 (9), #159.7, of Buckingham, Quebec, CAN, stopped Mathis Lourenco, 13-6 (6), #156, of Marseille, FR, at 1:40 of the fourth round of a scheduled 8 rounds.

In the first three rounds, there was plenty of action with Gaumont going to the body, having the edge. At the halfway point of the fourth round, a right uppercut from Gaumont to the chin dropped Lourenco for an 8-count from Referee Alain Vellenue. Upon rising on unsteady legs and not responding, the referee waved it off.

Super Middle southpaw Moreno ‘The Soldier’ Fendero, 9-0 (7), #167.5, of Besancon, Doubs, FR, Montreal, Quebec, CAN, stopped Mykola Vovk, 15-6 (9), #166.3, of Chervonohrad, Bayern, GER, at 2:07 of the second round of a scheduled 8 rounds.

In the first round, Fendero was the aggressor until halfway, when Vovk landed several punches. Fendero took the rest, easily winning the round. In the second round, a left from Fendero on the chin of Vovk dropped him under the ropes on his back for an 8-count from Referee Yvon Goulet. Upon rising, Fendero landed a body shot and pulled Vovk by the back of the head to the canvas, ending the fight.

Welterweight southpaw Wyatt Sanford, 0-0 (0), #?, of Kennetcook, Nova Scotia, CAN, vs. Shawn ‘Ugly’ Archer, 2-5 (2), #?, of Quesnel, British Columbia, CAN – 4 rounds.

Super Featherweight Erik Israyelyan, 1-0 (1), #131.8, of Yerevan, ARM, Montreal, Quebec, CAN, stopped Richard Bernath, 0-2 (0), #127.6, of Debrecen, HUN, at 1:34 of the first round of a scheduled 4 rounds.

In the first round, after a minute, a right from Israyelyan to the chin dropped Bernath for an 8-count from Referee Steve St-Germain. Thirty seconds later, a right to the body dropped Bernath again, and he took the count on his knees.
