WBO International light welterweight champion Jack ‘El Gato’ Catterall (30-2, 13 KOs) lost a split decision to WBO Inter-Continental Super Lightweight champion Arnold Barboza, Jr. (32-0, 11 KOs) for the vacant WBO Interim 140-lb belt on Saturday night at the Co-op Live Arena in Manchester, England.

Catterall had a slight edge over Barboza, the aggressor in the first four rounds. In the sixth through the eighth, Barboza came back well. In the ninth round, both had their moments. At the end of the tenth round, Gomez fell from their feet, tangled, per referee Steve Gray.
In the eleventh round with the fight looking even Catterall may have had the better of it. In the twelfth and final round it went back and forth in the end both celebrated but only one will be the winner unless it’s a draw.
Scores 115-113 Catterall, 115-113 Barboza and 115-113 Barboza.
The 2020 Olympic Silver Medalist, WBA International Continental welterweight champion Pat McCormack, 7-0 (5), stopped former British, Commonwealth, and European champ Robbie Davies, Jr., 24-2 (15) after five rounds of a scheduled 10 rounds.
In the third round, at the halfway point, McCormack landed a lead right, and down went Davies for an 8-count from referee Marcus McDonnell. In the final seconds, a lead right from McCormack and down went Davies for another 8-count.
In the fifth round, McCormack landed a right on the chin, and Davies went down for the third time for an 8-count. In Davies’s corner, referee McConnell stopped the fight.
WBA International super featherweight champion Zelfa ‘Brown Flash’ Barrett, 31-3 (17) was defeated by the former IBO and British featherweight champ southpaw James ‘Jazza’ Dickens, 35-5 (14) by a 10 round unanimous decision.
In the first three rounds, Dickens chased Barrett, who countered a right on occasions, causing redness in his left eye. In the fourth and fifth rounds, Dickens chased Barrett, landing a right hook to the chin to get his attention. Barrett landed rights to the body and then moved on.
In the seventh round’s final minute, Dickens had his best round when he countered Barrett, who finally stopped moving around the ring. In the eighth and ninth rounds, Dickens scored well in the final minutes. In the tenth and final round, Barrett missed as much as landed, as Dickens countered him well.

BBBofC British and Commonwealth Boxing Council Super featherweight champ Reece ‘Bomber’ Bellotti, 20-5 (15) stopped Michael Gomez, Jnr., 21-2 (6) at 0:01 of the tenth round of a scheduled 12 rounds.
In the first four rounds, Bellotti worked the body of Gomez, taking all four rounds. In the fifth round, a left uppercut to the body from Bellotti dropped Gomez for an 8-count from Referee Mark Lyson.
In the sixth round, Bellotti suffered a cut on the right eyebrow from a clash of heads. In the eighth round, a left to the body from Bellotti dropped Gomez again for an 8-count. He also suffered a cut on the right eyebrow later.
In the tenth round, the corner of Gomez called a halt.
Light heavyweight Connor Tudsbery, 1-0 (1) scored a knockout of Sadaam Moamed Da Silva Caetano, 7-6 (5) at 2:01 of the second round of a scheduled six rounds.
In the second round, Caetano was down. Referee Darren Sarginson then stopped the contest.
Light Aqib Fiaz, 13-1 (1) knocked out Lydon Chircop, 7-6 (4) at 2:00 of the third round of a scheduled six rounds.

Super Welterweight William Crolla, 7-0 (6) stopped Ayoub Zakari, 5-8-1) at 2:43 of the first of a scheduled six rounds.
Featherweight Alfie Middlemiss (2-0) defeated Caine Singh, 1-6-2) over rounds.
Referee Mark Lyson scored it 40-37.
